ending

so i acctually like the ending i think its kinda fitting to the tone of the whole book. she would never be satisfied with anything or anyone so she...

im satisfied with that conclusion idk how else they could have ended it.

They COULD have ended it with an army of ORCS on DRAGONS attacking New Orleans, and Edna finds a huge random Giant's sword hanging on a wall in her pigeon house, and she uses it to kill DRAGONS and ORCS. Alot of DRAGONS and ORCS. And then Robert gets eaten by a dragon (cuz he is such a wimp) and all Edna has left of him is his little finger. She wears it as a necklace as she continues to fight, and then Angels eventually come down and they take her to heaven, where she becomes the real Saint of New Orleans, and is the guardian angel of the city. Kind of like Spiderman is to New York.

And there could have been sequels and stuff. Seriously, I would have read all of those books. Except it would have to have a new name, not "The Awakening". Maybe "The Rising" or "The Ascending" or something kind of mysterious and cool.
