diction-middle: also can mean language that is converation-like but is still correct but is not as elevated as formal-diction.
Exposition: the opening section of a fugue, in which the principal themes normally are introduced.
Farce: a light, humorous play in which the plot depends upon a skillfully exploited situation rather than upon the development of character
Cosmic Irony: the idea that fate, destiny, or a god controls and toys with human hopes and expectations; also, the belief that the universe is so large and man is so small that the universe is indifferent to the plight of man; also called irony of fate
Dramatic Irony: irony that is inherent in speeches or a situation of a drama and is understood by the audience but not grasped by the characters in the play.

controlling metaphor: metaphors that dominate or organise an entire poem
extended metaphor: a comparison between two unlike things that continues throughout a series of sentences in a paragraph or lines in a poem
implied metaphor: a metaphor not explicitly stated or obvious
FIXED FORM: typically a poem that may be categorized by the pattern of its lines, meter, rhythm, or stanzas
FOIL: a person or thing that makes another seem better by contrast
metafiction fiction writing that deals, often playfully and parodically, with the nature of fiction, the techniques and conventions used in it, and the role of the author
litotes understatement in which an affirmative is expressed by negating its opposite
Epistolary novel: a novel written as a series of documents. The usual form is letters, although diary entries, newspaper clippings, and other documents are sometimes used.
Euphony: a harmonious succession of words having a pleasing sound.
Irony--Situational: when a situation turns out differently than expected.
Irony--tragic: dramatica irony in a tragedy.
Irony--Verbal:the writer says one thing and means another.
My second definition sounds really retartd,,,but it's all i could find.
Elegy: a mournful, melancholic, or plaintive poem, especially a funeral song or a lament for the dead.
Epigram: a terse, sage, or witty and often paradoxical saying.
