I'm leaving for Annapolis in the morning, and Thursday is Induction Day. Everybody: have a great summer, be safe, enjoy yourselves. We should all try to get together on vacations. Imma miss you guys! Yes, and you too Moon.

look! i'm writing in NAVY blue! ahahaha. you are about to peace out and i just wanted to say good luck! i'll definitely be praying for you and your eventual adventures in taiwan, or kazakhstan. my dad was in the navy for nine years and got to go to nineteen countries. so maybe you'll be as lucky as him. haha. but i'm very proud of you for serving our country. preesh bro. good luck and we hope to hear from you soon. :)

oh, and dont get in too many drunken fights on foreign turf! according to my dad thats all ya do in the navy. hahaha.

To everyone...

Since we were cut short on time today (as per usual), I didn't get to say my little closing remarks to everyone, so I'll put them here. (Picture me saying this with all sincerity!)

I am really glad that we had such a small class this year. It's quite rare for a teacher to get to have a class of 9 students, and while at first, it seems a little daunting (no large class discussions! no big group projects!) I am thankful that each and every one of you were in the class! I really feel like I got to get to know each of you, and that you got to know me as well! Sometimes, with big classes, some students get pushed to the side or just slide by. Well, with a class of 9 that just can't happen.

So, now that the year is over and I'm doing a little reflecting (and cringing about having a class of 40 for next year), I realized that you guys are one of my favorite classes I've ever taught and will remember it fondly. I'm lucky to have had a class of 9 bright, funny, hard-working seniors and I'll really miss you all next year!

Some of my favorite memories:

• Brittany's constant texting
• Kathryn's letter to Julian
• Sarah cutting off her hair
• Taylor's crazy blue tu-tu
• Lauren's excitedness (is that even a word?) during our Socratic Seminar
• All of our parties
• All the laughter
• Our off topic discussions (that Andrew and Julian loved)
• Our poetry month ordeal (a suicide pact?!? What?!?)
• How proud of you all I was while you were taking your AP Exam
• And many, many more...

I can't wait to see all of you graduate and walk across the stage! I will feel like a proud mom (except I don't have to pay for your college and get to keep all my shoes).
